Welcome to day one of our “Win-a-Day on the Hero Club Blog” week. This promises to be a fun-filled week, as we feature the five talented stampers who were selected by the Hero Artists as contest winners.
Today I would like to introduce my “blog buddy” for the day (and fellow Californian)…Kelly Booth. I found several of her flickr cards intriguing, so she was my pick for this week. Kelly’s cards captured my attention with their whimsical, lighthearted look. Loved all her PINK too!

Lily the Fairy Contest Card

scrapbook ideas Lily the Fairy Contest CardHello Everyone!! Wow, it’s Thursday already. Time is flying so fast already! I decided to play along with the Pink Cat Studio “Lily the Fairy Contest”. Stop by the Pink Cat Studio blog for the details. I’m part of the design team so I won’t be able to win a prize but I decided to make a card for the contest anyway. I posted the details a few days ago on my blog as well.

I colored Lily with my Copic Markers, cut the image out and remounted her on a SU Pink Pirouette textured card stock. I also added a bit of Stickles to the image.
I cut the scallops using my Fiskar Mini Scallop scissors and used the CB Embossing folder to created the inverted dot embossing on the blue band going across the card.

Happy New Year!! I’m back to creating and blogging! I returned from our holiday trip to Disneyland. My family from Hawaii was also staying with us for a few days and left today. I had soooooo much fun and I’m a bit sad that they left but I’m just happy to have been able to celebrate the new year with my family from Hawaii. But. . .now, it’s back to business! LOL!

To celebrate the New Year, Pink Cat Studio is having a contest in a major way!! Whoohoo!
